Cheap fruit and veges at Coles and maybe now Woolies

Coles have announced that they are going to offer super cheap fruit and veges and by the time this blog hits the web Woolies will no doubt have retaliated with their own Fresh Food People bargains. 

Let's not ask how they are suddenly able to do this.... perhaps it has something to do with their huge margins?   perhaps to now be dropped to 50% rather than 99%??

Cynicism aside, this is a huge opportunity for preservers out there, especially those armed with a pressure canner, which will allow you to preserve any of the veges that get offered cheap.  Stay watching for my ideas on how to use some of the bounty.
