Interceptor Spectrum Dog Chews Large Dog pack of 6
Regular monthly dosing with Interceptor Spectrum protects against heartworm in dogs and puppies as young as 2 weeks of age, plus prevents infestation from intestinal worm, including roundworm, whipworm and hookworm. Importantly Interceptor Spectrum also protects against Hydatid tapeworm which is potentially lethal to humans.
Giving tablets to dogs can be frustrating, however, Interceptor Spectrum comes in a tasty chew made with real chicken that dogs love. In fact 94% of dogs like the taste of Interceptor so much, they’ll eat it straight from the hand.*
Interceptor Spectrum Tasty Chews can be safely used in puppies from 2 weeks of age, breeding males and females, pregnant and lactating females, and in Collies sensitive to ivermectin.
If an animal with adult heartworm infection (and therefore circulating microfilariae) is given Interceptor Spectrum Tasty Chews, a transient shock-like reaction can occur. To avoid this, dogs should be tested for adult heartworm and treated if necessary, before starting Interceptor Spectrum Tasty Chews.
Studies have confirmed safety at up to 10 times the recommended dose.
Interceptor™ Spectrum Tasty Chews active ingredients are milbemycin oxime and praziquantel.
Milbemycin oxime interferes with nerve transmission in invertebrates, which helps protect against heartworm, roundworm, hookworm and whipworm (minimum dose rate: 0.5mg/kg).
Praziquantel causes muscle spasm in tapeworm, which are then attacked by enzymes and disintegrate (minimum dose rate: 5mg/kg). It is effective against both flea and hydatid tapeworm.
Interceptor Spectrum can be added to a small meal or placed directly in the mouth, similar to tablet dosing.
Dosage should be once a month, ideally on the same date.
