Calf Covers and Coats
Generally many parts of Australia are not so cold that a coat is needed for newborn animals. However, as a general rule of thumb, if the day and night time temperatures added together are less than 32 degrees C, a calf coat is a good idea for young animals under 3 weeks old.
Calf coats can also be adapted for use for adult goats and sheep. Select a coat with a stomach strap which helps make further adjustments to the coat.
